Private lessons may be the way to go. These lessons are best suited for those who want one-on-one attention or those with hectic schedules who cannot make it to our group class times. Private lessons can follow the basic group class outlines or be tailored to the canine student’s needs and the family’s goals for their dog

“I have been to an obedience class and my dog sits and does all that stuff but she won’t stop barking and pulls on the leash and jumps on people and won’t come when there is another dog around and…”If you have said any part of this sentence, or something similar, you are going to love Rover Review classes! At Smart Dog Dallas, we have met many dogs and owners who have gone to obedience classes and all that “knowledge” is just not connecting into real life situations. This class retrieves the basics and wakes up the inner Lassie of your dog’s true self. Well… we at least get his true character directed with good results. In class, you will re-establish basic obedience and then move into more distractive situations, achieving complete attention on you. Rover Review is not a beginner’s class; it’s for the dog that knows the basics but is not responding better each day or (amazingly) getting worse. Training is a lifelong communication and this is a great course to revamp both of you. To find out more about our group class schedule, please contact us!
This is a great class, not only because you and your dog will have fun, but there are several secondary beneficial results that come from teaching your dog to perform tricks and to play with you in an educational and structured setting:
But the best reward in a trick training class is having some good ol’ fashion fun with your dawg.
Smart Dog Dallas’ Trick Training class will teach a minimum of one stationary trick and one moving trick per week. This is a fast-paced class, and you will be moving around! Wear comfortable clothes and closed toed shoes that permit athletic movement. Pre-requisite to this class is that your dog can be cued to “Name” (looks at you when you call their name), ” Here”, “Heel”, “Sit”, Down”, “Stand” and “Wait
Here is the current curriculum of tricks to be taught:
