COVID-19 Guidelines

At Smart Dog, our first priority is always the health and happiness of your dog. We are staying up-to-date on all the latest COVID-19 news so that we can keep everyone safe. As you may have heard, it was reported yesterday that two pet cats tested positive for the virus in New York. While any news that combines COVID-19 and our pets is concerning, it is important to get your information from reliable sources.

William and I use the guidelines issued from both the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) when making decisions for how to operate Smart Dog safely during the COVID-19 crisis.

It is important to note that according to both of these sources, there is no reason to think that domestic animals, including pets, might be a source of infection.

William and I are continually assessing this situation and will not hesitate to modify our operations as new information comes to light.
